Blender Addon: StormAsset Instantiator 1.1.31
IMPORTANT: StormAsset has been discontinued, the tool and assets can be used in versions 2.8 and 2.9 of Blender, but there is no support or plans for support in newer versions
StormAsset Instantiator is a Blender addon to instantiate parametric assets of any type
This addon was only possible thanks to the blender community on Reddit
Note #1 : For Blender 2.8x and Blender 2.9x
Note #2: With the addon you will download only the medieval book, others assets can be purchased in my profile
Note #3 : The addon is free, to download just put 0 (but if you have the possibility and want to donate something, I will be very grateful )
Installation
1. To install you'll need a zip file from Gumroad
2. Inside Blender, go to:
3. Edit > Preferences > Add-ons > Install button. Find the downloaded zip
3. By default the addon locates assets inside the installed folder. If you have your own directory, choose the Change path button or write the new directory.
4. The addon is ready to be used

- Random parameters- A tool to set unique assets with just one click
- Random mixer - Mix between a default and randomized properties
- Copies - Spread as many assets as you want
- Arrays - Guides to distribute assets with different spreading rules
- Dynamic arrays - Distributes assets with reference to neighbor modifications
- Replicate tool - To copy an asset with specific configuration
- Exclude tool - To exclude assets and all relative objects
How it works
The asset instantiator works in conjunction with external .blend files which must be located in the same path as configured in the addon preferences. These files define the assets, which must follow rules of nomenclature and hierarchy so that the instantiator can copy, randomize and distribute them
